“Asian skin tone chart” is a search, not a season. East, Southeast, and South Asian colouring runs from cool porcelain to deep mahogany, and yellow-leaning surface colour is not the same as a warm undertone. This chart names six depths people actually match at a counter, then points each at the seasons that usually sit next to that depth. Olive, cool-pink, and golden can all appear in the same family. The chart gets you a column; hair-to-skin contrast still picks Summer vs Winter, Spring vs Autumn.

Foundation labeled “golden” or “yellow” for Asian skin is a depth-and-cast match, not a color-season verdict. Undertone is the temperature that stays when you tan: pink-cool, peach-warm, or green-olive. A porcelain Light Summer and a honey Warm Autumn can both be described as “Asian skin” and still need opposite metals and opposite whites. Do the gold/silver test at the collarbone in a north window. Then look at hair: if the hairline is a hard black edge, contrast is high and Winter is on the table even when the foundation is yellow-beige.
Porcelain and ivory are the rows people skip because they photograph “light.” They still split: cool porcelain wants Light Summer; ivory-peach wants Light Spring. Light beige is the olive-or-neutral middle where Soft Autumn and Light Spring both appear. Honey and tan are where Warm Autumn is actually common. Deep is not automatically Autumn — Deep Winter jewel tones hold on high-contrast faces. Use the named shades to pick a row. Use eyes and hair to pick the family. The Season Palette iOS photo analysis is for when white vs ivory still looks like a tie.

No. Many East Asian faces look golden in photos because of lighting, not because the undertone is warm. Cool porcelain and cool-beige are common; they take silver, true white, and dusty rose better than camel. If peach foundation turns orange on the jaw, you are often cool or olive, not Warm Autumn by default.
Fair cool: Light or Cool Summer — powder, sage, soft navy, not marigold. Ivory-warm: Light or Warm Spring — peach, coral, cream. Medium honey: Soft or Warm Autumn. Deep: Deep Autumn or Deep Winter depending on contrast with hair. “Best colors for Asian skin” is not one palette; it is depth plus undertone.
Black or very dark hair on light skin is high contrast. That combination lands in Cool or Deep Winter more often than Pinterest Autumn. If optical white clears the face and ivory greys it, stay with Winter even if the surface colour looks yellow.
